Just wanted to let you guys know that Jim's funeral will be at TW13 5JH on Friday 15th July.
What I would like is to organise a convoy of cars to escort Jim from the funeral home to the crematorium. This would be at around 3pm. I realise this is a big ask, as many of you will most likely be working, but I can't tell you how much this would mean to Jims family and Jim too, were he here to see it.
If those of you able to attend could post below please.
Many thanks, Mark. — feeling thankful.

Well Jim's 318is is now sat on my drive and I'm going to do those few mods he spoke of. I snagged a set of Compomotive TH's and I'm on the hunt for an LSD.
Obviously we miss Jim terribly but I think he'd approve.

I've logged into RR for the first time in a few months and this thread came up as having new posts. The posts I've read were not what i expected, and i'm shocked and saddened to hear of Jim's untimely death, my belated condolences to all his friends and family.
I followed this thread because i have the same car, a while ago i had a discussion with Jim via PM abut where i got the stainless exhaust made for my 318is. he seemed like a really decent chap, I'm sure he is much missed by all those who knew him.

I hope people will take this post in the spirit that it's meant but sadly it was 4 years ago today that Jim sadly passed. I can honestly say that not a day passes when Jim doesn't come to mind. He was such a genuinely nice guy and he loved all things automotive. He'd been through some real struggles in his short life and was a real inspiration. He had a real passion for old BMW's and it was wonderful that his mother and I were able to get him his E30. The look on his face when we gave him the keys was a real treat.
I just didn't want the day to pass without mentioning him here and letting him know how much he is missed.

Hi Mark.
I never really knew Jim but from the conversation i had with him is was clear how much he loved the IS and how much enjoyment he gained through owning it. but i'm sure you know that anyway.

Jim's E30 is up for sale but prices have risen so much I could never afford to buy it back. I'll get a lottery ticket though, just in case. Miss you Jim.

Clicked this thread for the car and the updates hit me like a ton of bricks. I never met or spoke to Jim but how fondly he is remembered to this day must be a real testament to his character. May he rest in peace and his BMW end up in the hands of someone who will cherish it.
