Don't know if this is the right thing to do but as usual I keep looking at other cars and deciding I need something different, so here goes...
1993
520i - M50 150bhp version
99k miles
2 Previous owners
MOT until January 2015
Tax until August 2014
The car itself is extremely clean, with no major rust or rot on it. There is only two bits of surface rust just starting to come through on the bottom of two of the doors (probably about 50p size)
The paint on the car is generally good, I clay bar'd, polished and waxed the car a few months ago so the paint does come up well. But as you can expect from a 21 year old car there are a few stone chips, car park dents and scratches etc. These are only noticeable when you're up close looking for them.
It has the dove grey interior which isn't anything special, but is all in very good condition. The only thing to mention is that there is a grease stain on the rear middle seat which I will try and get out.
A few months ago I changed the spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, and oil change. I also replaced the air intake as the previous one had a split in it.
New disks and pads on the front at the same time as fitting the coilovers.
The car is on 2 month old BC coilovers (£780). You can't buy bolt on coilovers for these, they need welding onto the original hubs so that has all been taken care of already. Anyone that knows about BC coilovers will know that they are amazing, they can go ridiculously low but still maintain comfort due to the 30-point damper adjustment. They also have camber adjustable top mounts built in.
It's also on a set of BMW M Parallel wheels. These are made up of a set of non genuine 9J fronts and Genuine 9.5J rears (rather than 8s & 9.5's).
20mm spacers on the front and 30mm's on the rear.
Achilles 205/40s (brand new about 6 weeks ago) and Falken 215/40s (they had covered about 500 miles when I bought them 6 weeks ago)
20mm engine raisers
One thing that I should mention is that when the car is started and driven from cold, for the first few minutes it's very sluggish when pulling away. Once it gets to 4k it pulls fine but before that it bogs down a bit. After a few minutes the car warms up a bit and the problem disappears.
Only other negative is that the passenger side wing has a slight outwards bend in it from full locking on uneven ground. This isn't massively noticeable, and I'm sure it would be easy to sort out.
Price wise it's difficult as modified e34's don't come up for sale very often. Going by what I've spent on the car I think £2100 ono is a fair price.
I could be tempted by P/X. I'm after some fast, cool, old(ish), would quite like another mk2 golf but feel free to offer something else.
