I've been tempted by creating a rear wheel drive vehicle from a fwd.
Couple of people I know well recently done the beetle floor pan under another vehicle shell as registered its still a beetle.
But if for example you took a Ford escort van and put a cut up Sierra floor pan how would you register it does it have to have a sva test?

And generally speaking - any amateur attempt to modify a monocoque, will mean it's nigh on impossible to make it road legal again

Thanks just wanted to know its not something I wanted as I'm aircooled vw mostly low n slow, but remember a mk4 escort van up santa pod a couple of years ago Royal nail! Just wondered.
