Prices vary depending who you use. Have a good hunt around online and get quotes of City Link, Parcel Force etc. I got my wheels delivered from Devon - Peterborough and it cost about £40, I booked everything online and it took about 24hrs.

Yup, Mattman speaketh the truth! Oh and beware these eBay 3rd party couriers and 'parcel2go' type firms - they may be cheaper (by about £2) but offer no indemnity against failed collections or deliveries - if they don't show or don't deliver you lose you money or your stuff, end of. Booking on-line takes approx 5 minutes and it's easy as.. www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/jump3?catId=2500033&mediaId=17900220Don't forget to tip the wheel sellar an extra tenner for the bother of packaging them up - with tyres, cardboard discs over the wheels, then tape, then bin bags then more tape is the easiest method. Rims with no tyres need to be fully boxed and protected to avoid damage. Hope this helps - I've sent so many sets of wheels through parcelfarce that I have lost track!

I used this company to courier some wheels for me, you can arrange collection and delivery all online, just make sure the seller packs the wheels and labels them. couldn't fault the service cost about £45 and you can pay with paypal!!! www.wedelivertheworld.co.uk/

Hey - sorry for dragging this up again - I've just won a set of 4 wheels as well (with tyres) - reckon 10kg per wheel is an acceptable weight to use on the parcelforce ordering site?

Little inside knowledge here guys, you can send parcels from any post office too via parcelforce, single parcels can weigh up to 30kg and consignments of items have no max weight as long as each individual parcel doesn't exceed 30kg.
I sent some wheels without tyres on 48 hour from my post office for £27, a courier had quoted the buyer £46.
Might make it more convenient for a sender to drop to a post office when they can than wait around for a courier to collect.

Lewis- as a point of reference a single twelve inch alloy without tyres weighs a bit under 5kg.

Thanks Jenn, I reckon 10kg's probably a bit on the safe side then but better sent than delayed ;D I'll stick something in that region in. Nice tip on the P.O. as well, I'll remeber that if I ever need to do it again (too much hassle to sort that this time

Well, I've got the seller to wrap 'em up, courier should arrive on Wednesday afternoon and have it at mine by Thurs/Friday. Wish me luck with this internet escapade ;D I think buying things online just got even more easy with this system. Ta to Mr. Weasel and Matt for pointing it out
