1985 Porsche 924 2 Litre NA with fantastic spares package

Reluctantly for sale due to purchase of a 924 Turbo and no space to keep my NA. Includes spare engine among other useful spares!
I have owned this car since December 2010 and in that time have travelled 30,000 miles in 10 countries. It is not the shiniest example, but it works everytime. My only car, it has always been on the road with many new parts fitted over my ownership.
The car has a few modifications to bring out the best in the fantastic 924 chassis. These include:
Gaz coilovers
924 Turbo brake conversion (think of all the tasty Porsche wheels to fit...)
924 Turbo spiderweb wheels
Braided brake hoses
NB: Rear discs not yet fitted but included. Will need rear wheel bearing & alignment. Full set of refurbished 4 stud spiderweb wheels also included, worth around £200.
Also included in sale is a low miles (circa 70K) engine complete with all ancillaries and a large throttle body with manifold.
With these modifications and parts, everything is here for an excellent race/track/rally car. Likewise, you could just use it as a dependable daily driver like I have!
This is a very well known 924, with the story of my ownership documented in threads on here as well as other forums. I have detailed my few trials and tribulations and plenty of joys.
Work on the car has been carried out by a local independent garage and Porsche Cardiff.
New parts in my ownership include:
Steering shaft
Topmounts
Anti roll bar brackets and bushes
Front ball joints
Starter Motor
Alternator
Engine wiring loom
Sunroof seal (inner & outer)
Rear hatch seal
Rear hatch pins & latches
Rear hatch struts
Gear lever
Many sundries!
The car has a Momo steering wheel (original 3 spoke available if preferred)
Leather front seats from a 911
Logo rear seats in excellent condition
Rubbing strips removed from bumpers (originals also included)
I know this car very well and the bad points are:
Drivers window doesn't work. Guides for the window were dented when a car hit the wing mirror. Spare alpine white door included.
Cracked dash.
Poor paintwork – Dent in left rear quarter and not the best respray.
Dent in sunroof – Fibreglass sunroof has a crack in the top after someone put shopping on top of it whilst it was removed in the boot...
To summarise, this is a very usable 924 which holds many happy memories. It is a little rough around the edges but an honest car at heart. Many avenues are open to the lucky buyer, whether it has gleaming new paint, becomes a competition car or a faithful companion to the everyday.
