link 1982 Mercedes Benz 280E
I have only owned my Mercedes for about 2 months, I bought it specifically for a road trip (which I have completed) with the intention of selling it afterwards but I've become quite attached to it and need to sell it before I keep it like the rest!!!
The car is a bit rough around the edges, but is good and solid and damned reliable! I serviced it and did a couple of minor repairs to it and tidied a few cosmetics finishing up at midnight the day before I left and with only a quick 40 mile test drive I began my road trip around Europe the next day including sailing her around the Nurburgring! It never missed a beat, I couldn't believe how reliable it was.
The car has been lowered a significant amount and I've downsized the tyres by a few profiles, other than that it is standard, the car is a South African import which basically just means the clocks are in KM and the paint code is impossible to find! Insurance isn't an issue, I'm 29 and it cost me £82 for the year on a limited mileage policy.
Most everything works on the car and it drives like a dream, it cruised effortlessly on the German autobahns (like it was built for them!)
I won't bother explaining the bad bits as they are all cosmetic and obviously in the pics.
