Hello everyone Recently, my Grandad bought this from a house clearence. It's a 1948 Lanchester LD10, and upon first appearence, it's nothing special, just an estate version - but it's the ONLY estate version in existance.
It's listed on the DVLA site as a shooting break, however, the Lanchester owners club have no recognition of there ever being an estate version - we have been told it could be a complete one off!
It's stood in someone back yard for years and years after the engine was removed. We are unaware as of why the engine was removed, but everything came with the car. The metalwork on the car is relatively solid, bar the front wings, it's just the wood work which is going to be a masive task - However, a friend of my Grandad's has agreed to give it a go - surely it's got to be worth doing if it's the only one in existance?!
If anyone has anymore information on this car, it would be hugely appreciated. Please let me know and I will pass on any information to my Grandad.
Anyway, enough waffling, have some pictures!
What do we all think then ?!
