Getting all sorts of replies including Peugeot.
Googled Wartburg but no such logo.

What car is the trim piece or whatever it is from ?? If not car related what is it as may help , its like give us a clue haha ! Hmmm not even sure you can reverse search a crest even either  And usually family crest / coat of arms are given to individuals as opposed to family's I think ? |

Its a piece of rubber mat that was fitted to Martins truck.
He was going to cut it into strips.
I thought it was too nice to cut up.

If its a family crest you pretty much always get the family motto in the pennant below the shield
its just got 'What looks like a 1' Perhaps its just a fancy bit of stamping ??

Dodge used plenty of knights-in-armour motifs on things like early Coronets and Custom Royals and suchlike, might be worth a quick google through them? Also IIRC some years of Chevy Monte Carlos had similar. Is it likely to have come from an American source? first one I could lay my hands on, a '59 Custom Royal. You get the picture, lol  |

It looks like a vintage running board mat. If it's car related that's what I'd assumed it to be too. If that's the case I wonder if it could be a shield of a coach builder rather than a car manufacturer? Or it could be something totally made up that's come off the shelf of Halfords circa 1953 for trying to add a touch of class to an Austin 16. |

I have found something vaguely akin to yours, so yes I think its a coachbuilder guessing its US, as the Great Blighty builders I imagine wouldn't do owt like that unless they are a- A royal favorite, or B - up in the realms of building Rollers, like Hoopers etc... What I said to him is to have as much of it cut and stitched centrally to the new inner carpet he will have made. It has been cut before. |
