Here I have a 1987 Volvo 340.
This is the 1.7 model, which is the one you need if you want to convert to
Renault F7R/F7P engines from the early Clios.
On the road though, the original 1.7 is pretty nippy, and I found it good on
fuel, too with the manual choke carb.
I've known of this car for years as it belonged to a friend on my Mother's.
It's rolling on 14" corsa steels with good tyres,
the back box had multiple exits when I got the car, so I made one from a Rover 200 centre
box, and a cut & shut U bend from an MGF for the tip. It sounds surprisingly fruity!
Has a pancake filter, and was serviced about 3k miles ago.
I also have LOTS of history for it too.
Other than that, it's bog standard, the radio still works fine and it's all in all a good little car
with less than 50k miles.
Bad points are; NO TAX AND MOT. I let it expire ( too many cars).
Needs a speedo head, these are easily obtainable from Classic Swede in Anglesey.
Mileage reads 33k, but I estimate to be more around the 43k mark. Hence less than 50k statement.
Also needs an indicator stem as the high beams have been wired in to a toggle switch ( was done previously to me).
Interior mirror needs sticking back on too.
Bearing in top mounts aren't their best as the steering's heavy.
The worst part is that it needs welding, on the front part of the n/s sill. It's been patched before a few times
(including some nit welding the bolt on wing to the car!), so it'll need the door removing and a fair size chunk of the
sill replacing.
Bottom corners of the front doors have gone through, too.
I can do the welding, but will be negotiable at extra.

Price: OIRO £300, I'd pay that for it.
If genuinely interested, please ring me on 07826858593, as I don't get on the computer everyday.
Would make a good drift project.
I'm only selling, because as stated above I have too many cars, for the space I have.
