Are there any bmw guru's on here? Currently in desperate need of a rear trailing arm for a E36 318is due to damage caused trying to remove a very stuck CV. I've found one from a E36 touring but not sure if these are the same as the saloon? Pretty sure I remember reading that at least one of the E36 models used different rear arms to the rest of the range?
Cheers for any help

According to a basic search on ECP it seems they are the same. However, If you do not choose to go genuine I would probably buy either a set of Powerflex of Superflex items in your case. Whilst the pattern items do not fail, they do go soft quite quickly! Quite a few people go to the Powerflex Black Series in this area (which is a 95A shore rating). On my friend's E36 with the Powerflex Black Rear Track Control Arm bushes (RTABs) his car is fine from a harshness perspective and it is a joy to drive .

Compact is different, the rest are all the same, for all model sizes (except M3 Evo possibly).

As said, Compact is the different one. Uses the same system as the E30 as to save space or something.
Brilliant system and can't see why it had to be upgraded.
