Anyone tell me which are lighter - basic 10" Steel Mini wheels or 10" x 5J alloys ? I know it will depend on type / style of alloys but my (more than ample ) gut feeling is the steels will be similar weight. Thanks. Paul H

i haven't got a clue, but I can weigh a 10 inch 145 wide steel wheel for you and compare it with a 10 inch 165 Minilight if that gives you the info you need... Unless you've already got an answer :-D

I'm guessing the steel ones will pinch it by a slight

We'll see Wednesday morning, that's when I've got time to weigh the wheels...

10 inch Minilight with 165: 8.5 kilo. 10 inch steel with 145: 7 kilo.
Measured with a possibly inaccurate Ikea scale ;-)

Correct, Paul! Although I didn't expect the difference to be that big!

I want some alternative "road" wheels for my little Yamaha quad as intend making it road legal and think Mini items would be ideal hence the question. I've just weighed one of the quad wheels and am surprised it was 10.4kg so Mini are actually going to be lighter !
