havent posted much recently, or in fact much full stop  but anyway as nobody probably knows ive been fixing my volvo. finally its been done after not really being arsed to do some very minor curse word driving about: starting it from cold-ish in the car: then for the hell of it the engine moving too: the ripping noise is masking tape on the camera btw. |

Can you tell me what is the difference between a 340 and a 360?

yeh its completely stock, down to a 25yr old spare lol.. desperatley needs a service, it wasnt used for about 6 years before i had it but at least the paint is still very good
340 is either a 1.4 or 1.7 renault engine, 360 is a 2.0 volvo engine and the mk3's. on the mk2 body shell they are a 1.9 engine.

360 is a 2.0 volvo engine I thought the 2.0 was just a larger capacity version of the 1.7 engine and it was still a renault lump? |

Nope 2 litre is a Volvo engine.
1.4 and 1.7 are Renault engines.

360 is a 2.0 volvo engine and the mk3's. on the mk2 body shell they are a 1.9 engine. wrong  They're all 2.0's, but up til 1984 they were the B19 engine as opposed to the B200.. slightly different internals, and higher compression ratio afaik |
