Not everyone would complete the poll, when i first came on it felt like it was all Golfs and Chevettes/kadettes, now it feels like everyone is turning Japanese! Pass!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

when i first stumbled on this site i was a bit bemused, seeing people becoming excited about a 205, or a mk3 escort...i began thinking just because a car is curse word, it doesn't make it retro. but now i love the site because i see a lot of cars if a different light, and because it's a retro site, i assumed it'd be all escorts mk1 and 2, vw's, and minis....it's got a huge variety of cars.

i agree there jdmini...........
Some of the cars i saw on here when i first arrived (mk3/4 escorts, 205's and dare i say even metros and sierras) i thought were not retro, my viewpoint has changed somewhat now though and i feel all older and less common cars fall into the blanket heading, as they should because if we don't start taking notice of them now they will soon be gone.
As for whats most common here? dunno?

i think this place goes thru waves of similar cars turning up all at once, when i first started looking on here there didnt seem to be many minis about, now i think theres about 5 recently started thread about em in the RR section. id probably say the majority of cars are VW, but theres so many cars its had to tell really.

You're right about it going in waves. The original influx of members were from the VW side of things, then I think we had Minis, followed by Skodas. After I lost track...maybe the Imp boys came next.

I think Mk1 Golfs are the most common, as we appear to have one member who owns about 20!

The blue oval is most popular. There seems to be a load of Capri owners here.

I'd say there were a lot of Skodas. Not really as many Escorts as I had thought there would be. A nice sprinkling of old Audis, couple of beetles (mad ones). The lovely J content. Everyone is catered for TBH.
The best bit though is the cross scene influences that are beginning to show through - watch this space as they say in Scunthorpe!

I say I don't much care. What I love about this place is that no car seems more popular than any other and pretty much anything goes - from frankly quite mental Cortina Estates with supercharged engines to glorious beige and totally original Mitsubishis and Daihatsus that you've never heard of. I love it!
