This is just fantastic. The pics of it sat in Japan and racing are amazing.
Just looks so badass and authentic.
Going to be following this build closely! The engine is going to sound incredible with all the race parts, pretty exciting!

The engine is going to sound incredible with all the race parts, pretty exciting! Thanks, I've enjoyed reading your thread and looking forward to more updates. I had a birthday earlier in the month and took myself back to France but got a lovely delivery of parts from Kameari hen I returned. I was planning to fit the new engine today, it's been finished a few weeks now but I've never got any free time. I'll take some pictures when the cam cover has been painted. I haven't unpacked the damper pulley but stole the pic of RHD Japan, If you're going to buy Kameari goodies for your car, always recommend going direct to Kameari, Mori-San's english is better than your Japanese and can advise you on your build. Do parts for most old Japanese cars. Mainly Nissan/Datsun and Toyota. Kameari L4 racing distributor and spindle gear )I've already got a Wako Super C.D.I GT1000FX in the car. Should have a decent spark with this lot. Kameari alternator bracket, expensive bit of bling, I need a new alternator as I've been told the stock one its terrible Kameari racing damper pulley kit L6 water pump (needed to run with the pulley kit) Once the engine has been fitted, the car will be shipped off for the custom exhaust to be made up. One that's done I can get it all shipped over here and I can tear it down, clean it up, paint the engine bay and get now with the suspension. Might be another year in the making.

I've got a set of original factory option sequential tail light flashers to go on.
They are plug and play, but because race car, the harness has been swapped with a more simple version. Will need to figure out how to wire in the mechanical boxes, only non essential non race car thing on the car. But they're so cool.

Anything over '66, but where I live is a strong American car scene and I rarely see them with amber indicators, owners who I've spoken to say they rarely have issues. The current indicators on the rear are red anyway, they only left the factory with red, just not sequential. I'll risk it and see what happens.

I used to have red tinted indicators on an old car and ran it like it for a few years with no issues. Because it's old no one will bat an eyelid.
Looks mega cool. Definitely keep it if you know a friendly MOT guy.

Currently playing with some ATTINY chips for a modern version.

That was far more mechanical than I thought it would be but really cool to see. I imagine it must make a racket though.

The engine has been built a while now, it's been temporarily fitted too so that the exhaust can be fabricated, that's the next major job to do, then it's all coming out again to shave and paint the engine bay. Can't wait to get this lot bolted on. Won't be much longer now and I can bring the car home, I've finished renovating the house and now building a large shed that's big enough to hide the car in and do some work on it.
