I can't wait to get it running! Digging about on the internet and found this: How cool? One of my favourite cars of all time overtaking my own car.

camerashy, great advice. Today was spent mostly doing this: While the engine is out, I'm going to clean up the engine bay, remove the battery tray, weld up a few holes and paint it. Found this light weight flywheel too.

Do you know anyone in the UK, preferably down South who's competent enough to work on it? I'm good at taking things apart, putting them back together again, not so much. I'd like the head ported, gas flowed and put on a flow bench too. I can highly reccomend baldyne aviation engineers in orpington. Have used them on 3x engines now, including my evo1 engine which made big power and ran for years. Very well priced. Just finished my '74 toyota 2t block bored to 89mm with kameri pistons and full balance. Not sure if they have a flow bench, they do do porting, but ill bet that head is already worked,do you have any piccs of the ports ? Just fresh it up with bronze guides, ect.

oldschoolcool thanks for the info, my head is ported and already has bronze guides. Can you PM (if you don't mind) and let me know how much you paid for the work? My engine seems fine, no play in anything, I've got the Kameari high strength gasket kit coming from Japan with my intake, I just want the head pressure tested, ports matching, valve job and then the engine putting back together. I will give them a call, shall I name drop? The ports have been opened up as big as the gasket already. Ports:

If you ever want to sell me that spoiler let me know Sorry it'll never be for sale, but if you want one, I can point you in the right direction of where to get one from in Japan or a replica from the US or OZ.

For those that are interested... I've been shopping again 8) I wanted the Kameari Engine Works high strength gasket kit and Pit Work paste to put it back together with, ordered some ARP head studs while I was at it, new manifold bolts, studs and washers. A couple dowels as one was missing (or I lost it) and a Pit Work oil filter (just because I wanted a blue Pit Work oil filter) and Kameari through in a couple of stickers 8) I've found someone who I trust with the engine, heading over this weekend to deliver the head for an inspection, measure up and refresh, hopefully it doesn't need too much work. Slow progress, but progress none the less.
