81K miles

Will have fresh 12 month mot for new owner.
Located in Falkirk, central Scotland, 25 miles from Edinburgh or Glasgow.
SOLD....
Its a 1.6i model originally a mauve purple colour now resprayed in metallic Subaru blueberry burst(bright shiny purple). 81k miles, most likely genuine going by its mot history and the fact its spent a lot of time living in lockups for the last few years. Very solid car, no rot of any description to be found. Its had a very small patch welded on the drivers sill at some point and dosent need any more, looks to have been undersealed from new and garaged or dry stored most of its life.
The paint is good, not immaculate but very presentable. There were a few stone chips that have been touched up and a small crack in the rear spoiler thats been tidied up. The respray was done a few years ago and whilst its not the best ive seen its overall very good, the engine bay etc all painted at the same time. Full S2 turbo kit, bonnet and wheels fitted along with an rs options rear spoiler. Kits in really good condition, no damage or cracks other than the mentioned paint defect on the spoiler. Door have been delocked and smoothed. Wheels have been refurbed previously and still very nice. Good 195/50/15 tyres all round with a matching 5 spare in the boot thats not been refurbed but its useable. Ive replaced all the wheel bolts with new stainless ones.
Nice running efi engine, no smoke or rattles. Ive just serviced it with new oil, plugs and coolant so needs nothing. Ive changed the radiator with a good used ford one. It has an induction kit fitted along with a stainless exhaust system from the downpipe back. It gives a nice burble but its not really to my taste and i was planning on swapping it to something more subtle. Ive got a new middle section and an ashley 4 branch that will go with the car if it makes close to the asking price. Gearbox is good, selector is fine, not too sloppy like they can be.
Recently fitted new rally design -2" hd front springs as the ones on it had seen better days. Its lowered all round, I'm not sure how much by on the back but its a low car, suprisingly it dosent rub though. Since i bought it last year ive replaced both leccy window motors and regs and sorted out a fair few broken sensors etc. Electrics are now good barring the engine temp gauge which is a bit tempermental, i may still have time to sort this out before it sells.
Its a had a replacement black hood fitted from another car, its in good order, no tears etc. The rear window is also tip top. All water tight, no leaks. The one issue is that the electric option for the roof isnt currently working...i put it up and down manually with no effort at all but it would be nice if it worked. The previous owner told me that the replacement roof wasnt wired up to the motor when it was put on, this could be true. Being honest I havent really looked into it. At worst it will need a new motor or switch or it could be a very simple fix. Either way a tested motor from the scappies isnt much money but ive not got the time or inclination to sort it out and just use arm power instead! The original grey cover is present and in good condition.
Very nice recaro interior, no rips, fag burns or dubious stains. Sony cd player and jbl speakers in the back pods. Heated windscreen and electric mirrors. Fitted with a Scorpion alarm and immobilser that works.
Its a 24 year old Ford so its not perfect but its a nice summer cruiser, itl draw attention at the shows. With a little care it could do not bad in modified concours. If it dosent attract a decent offer I wont be upset keeping it and using it myself for the summer but id rather put the funds into my Fiesta.

Cheers!
