Nice car. Did you get round to sorting the manifold/downpipe, valve clearances and fitting stiffer shocks? That are mentioned in the project thread.
also are the pictures recent? As you say it's in garage on a sorn. Cheers

As you say it's in garage on a sorn. Cheers Hi mate, The manifold issue is negligible, only when cold do you hear a slight noise and it's something I'd look at when when everything else was done. The valve clearances are no different to any others i've heard tbh and i was told making them quieter would make the car more thirsty so, again, not something i have been overly concerned about. I was used to e39 engines before I got this so I notice any noise! There is nothing wrong with the shocks that are on it atm, it is very comfortable as a cruiser. I think, as it is lowered, you might want to fit stiffer shocks if you were going to run it on very bumpy roads every day (ie the fens) as the sump bottoming out at speed could become an issue although I have never bottomed out since fitting the rc090's. The pictures are from last year (august 2013) but the car is identical other than the bent lower valance as previously mentioned. I have done less than 150 miles since and it has been sat in the garage. please do come and look at the car if you are interested, you wont be dissapointed.

There have also been no advisories on any mot's, but obviously I will mot it before sale. I cant see there being any problems at all.

Hi mate. Cheers for the info above. Sticking some pics of the front damage, and getting the full m.o.t before sale , listing any advisories would get this sold ;-) Can see that being the only reason for it not selling on here or the bmw5 forum. I for one would not want to commit before seeing a m.o.t. Good luck tho.

No I havn't but if you look at my project thread, the total for the body work restoration and painting in two pack paint was £1150 so I can't imagine it being more than £200 plus trims.
I do all the work on my cars myself with the help of friends so I'm afraid I'm guilty in not considering the cost of having such work carried out at a garage. The reason that i havn't got round to sorting it is because I am currently spending my time and effort on my B10.
If you are interested in the car jpat please ring me and come and view the car rather than speculating how bad certain things 'might be' on a public forum as this is not very fair. It is very easy to knock money off a car without actually having viewed it.
I know you are only trying to be constructive but it can come across differently!
Car is currently having an mot so will post results shortly.

Ok, all done. Certificate is plus pictures taken today. Tester noticed no manifold blow when doing emissions. Piccies: I do have the center caps but they're in the garage! Cheers, phone me on 07884040ninetwonine if you have any questions.
