Hi this is my 1.8 EX Prelude, 20k miles and i'm the third owner. The Lude was a bit of an impulse buy and the mrs was overjoyed when i bought another car. The interior is in extremely good condition, on the outside its mainly the arches that require the most attention. I changed the rear light gaskets due to a boot leak but it still leaks which leads me to the spongy boot spoiler. Parts wise everything is pretty much discontinued but i guess this is an issue most of you are used too All garaged up for the time being until i can sort the bodywork, so hopefully by the time summer is in full swing she will be out and about. Plans are to get her cleaned up, new wheels and low. Thanks for looking

Does look nice, clean & original. No doubt the original owner had kept it for a looong time, since they never attracted a 'racer' image despite the sporty packaging. Far too suave. It would be rare indeed if it didn't have rust under the rear window, leaking power-steering also common over here since standard fluid apparently eats the seals (Honda used something specific). One to give you bad ideas without impeding upon your thread too much: Though he had lots of work to get it that way, & went for the facelift frt bumper. Yours makes me like the shape of the original spoiler better if only the foamed rubber wasn't so prone to breaking down & absorbing water. Edit: Looks like yours might be a little older than '86 as despite the wheels looks to be pre facelift. Facelift had different rear lights without the trim underneath, different bumpers, dual windscreen wipers, & judging by a friend attempting to fit the facelift side mirrors to his car even the doors, pillars, windscreen angle & thus roof looked like it would have been changed! I know Honda doesn't scrimp upon some of its mid-generation facelifts but hearing that was a bit of a shock. (I'm sure he wouldn't confuse the 3rd gen prelude either)

Ill get some interior pictures posted soon. It doesn't suffer from any leaks at all but the dreaded rear window has signs of bubbling in both the bottom corners I have never opened the sunroof through fear of what could happen lol. The trim below the rear lights is currently eluding me, so i may have to get something fabricated. The spoiler is my main concern for my boot leak, hate to think what the bodywork is like underneath, so i think it will be binned. I'm taking inspiration from this young man, as his looks smashing.... Anything that i change or remove will be kept as bits are like poor quality wobbly children's play pony s$%t Thanks for your comments

Right its been a while but having sold one of my other cars its time to start sorting ze Prelude.
Insurance sorted, Mot booked for Monday so we shall see what that brings to light.
Ive already started shopping and dropped lucky on a couple of really rare bits. I have an armrest coming from good old USA (managed to snatch it up on ebay at 2am). I also managed to track down a brand new Louvre for the rear screen which is extremely rare, thats coming from New Zealand.
As you can see parts aren't exactly local, but lifes too short and you have to spend your cash on something.
Once the lude is on the road, i'll be shopping for a respray.
Been told a place called Paint Worx in Burntwood Staffordshire is a good place, any other recommendations welcome for the west midlands area.

Yesterday i received my 2 bumpers in great condition, which i'm really pleased about, as i had to arrange my own courier who were brilliant every step of the way and fully recommend. english.xl-paket.de/And just incase you were wondering how to carry a bumper, this is how not to... I have managed to track a Gsi down and currently in the process of twisting the owners arm and getting it on my drive. Watch this space i guess, thanks for looking
