Another boring question I'm afraid.
I need 1 silencer (that's all I can fit on easily!) for the Kadett. But as I'm short of room, it needs to be an oval job, and quite short.
2.25" inlet and outlet.
Where can I get something at a reasonable price?

i needed to put a silencer on the firenza because the only one it had was the rear scorpion one and it was just too loud (yes i'm getting old ) . all i needed was a universal 'bomb' type so i bought a budget range nova centre pipe with a small silencer on it , cut it out , welded it into the front pipe on the firenza - sorted. cost me about £7 through work.. if you approach the larger motor factors most of them carry 2 ranges of exhausts. first range will be timax/unipart/bosal etc , carries a 2yr guarantee . second range or 'budget' will be something like bensons/energy/tuburex etc with a 12month guarantee . but don't be put off by the fact they're classed as a budget range , i've had the cheapo silencer on the firenza now for 3 years without any problems... if you do decide to approach a factors for a cheapo one that you can modify , try and choose one off a popular car cos in theory they'll be the cheaper ones.. nova/corsa,fiesta etc etc
