Here for sale is my wife's 1994 Volkswagen golf mk3 1.4 full GTI conversion from a 1997 GTI 8v AGG engine . Selling due to recently buying a mk1 golf gti convertible.

108,000 miles on gti engine, approx 145,000 miles on the shell.
Currently insured as a 2.0 but on the logbook as a 1.4 so it's up to the new owner to change.
The conversion was carried out about 3 years ago and 8,000 miles ago by myself and my wife as a bit of fun and an easy first project. Basically re-shelled the 5 door gti into this 3 door shell. Replaced everything from the engine, interior, subframe, axles, brakes, suspension, carpets etc...
Engine: 2.0 8v AGG engine. Had timing belt and water pump at 100,000 miles. Recent spark plugs, coil pack, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm, top breather hose, brand new induction kit and starter motor.
Very recently the gearbox did the usual golf thing and smashed itself to pieces. Knowing how difficult it is to locate a 2.0 gti box I found a low mileage 1.8 gearbox and fitted a brand new LUK clutch kit. Feels great with nice tight gears and feels like a short shift even though it isn't!
Chassis: full gti disc brakes all round with recent Bosch pads and also benefits from having a front anti roll bar. 60mm Jamex lowering springs fitted at the time of conversion. Audi A3 pepperpot wheels in fantastic condition with 205/50/15 tyres.
Just fitted a braided brake line kit before the mot (6line kit) so no issues there now!
Body: gti front and rear bumpers, gti arches, vento front end, bonnet painted black with pink vinyl chequers (can be removed), washer jets flushed and smoothed over, washer jets now part of the wiper arms, DIY joey'd headlights, smooth de badged grill.
Gti smoked tail lights and rear wiper deleted, colour coded gti spoiler.
Brand new rear windscreen so the de mister works like brand new!
Interior: immaculate gti interior and carpets sourced from a 3 door once we realised the 5 door ones didn't have the tilt mechanism for rear seat access!! Momo millennium steering wheel, Ripspeed pink gear knob. Fully working/locking glove box lid (yes really!). Windey windows and electric sunroof replaced with a manual one.
Car comes with all the history I have for BOTH vehicles in the original dealer wallets.
Bad points: requires new drivers door and both front wings. These will come with the car as I have a smoothed door and 2x smoothed/de-indicatored wings. I also have custom smoothed front and rear bumpers which can be negotiated but will NOT be included in this auction.
Requires headlining as the original broke on removal.
Needs the 2 floor to axle brake hoses fitting as I ran out of time to do them. These are supplied.
Carpets get slightly damp after heavy rainfall.
Requires 2x new tyres soon as they were advised on the mot.
