Next weekend sees the arrival of my wifes new car, its a 1986 Skoda Rapid Cabrio, needs some work but nothing major. She fell in love with it the moment she saw the pictures. It comes with a 135 engine from a Favorit, slightly lowered suspension, 15" Empis and a sports exhaust. I'm hoping to have it ready for the Retro Rides Show in August. Could 1 of you kind chaps please photoshop the centres/spokes of the Empis in the same colour as the car but leave polished rims. I'm trying to talk her into having the wheels done. Once i have collected the car from Ipswich next week i'll start a thread in Readers Rides

Cool car! Which day are you collecting from Ipswich? Wanna call in for a cuppa on the way back? Will you have Kenton with you?

Looks very nice. I've never seen one of these before, were they mainstream models or conversions?

Cheers mate I have memories of getting in my Grandads orange estelle on cold mornings, brrr!. Which was replaced by a Orange MK3 Escort. Skodas are growing on me big time and with that cabby it's just grown a inch more.

Well, if it is a 135, the obvious answer is supercharge it. It is a low compression engine afterall.

Dunno whether anyone's photoshopped your Skoda already, but i've done a pic with yellow wheels and one with yellow/silver for comparison. Just can't figure out how to add pics to a post! Can someone let me know and I'll post the pix.
Cheers,
Anth

How about the wheel centres in black? It's an interesting conversion...different to the usual Rapid cabrios.

did this used to belong to someone called 'Mullz'? It sure did Rob, he's unfortunately had to sell it so Wayne and his wife have given it a new home.
