With all this planning for next year's wedding, I was looking forward to Sunday just gone more than most other parts so far!
We went to see a guy who basically collects old cars, restores them and then earns loads of cash for hiring them out for use in films. He currently has around 60 cars, 250 old bikes and a few old trucks. We eventually plumped for a 1927 Rolls Royce which is just fabulous. Anyway, while we were there I noticed the unmistakeable boxy profile of an Intergrale Evo 3. I asked him if I could have a look. What a find!! Its one of the last Collezione (sp?) models and only had 27,000km on the clock. Absolutely mint condition, not a scratch, tear or wear mark anywhere. Fired it up, but I wasn't able to drive it. He reckoned it had been tuned to 400bhp but it looked completely standard to me, didn't argue with him though. The missus wouldn't budge on her choice of the Roller though so she wont be turning up to the church in the Lancia!! ;D
The best (most frustrating) bit?? Its the guys hobby!! He does a normal job during the week. I don't know where he gets the time from, every car was A1 condition.
Some of his cars were used in Foyle's war, next series. Gosford Park, loads of stuff.
Ah what a great afternoon.
