I'm sure i've seen something similar done with a water/ methanol injection system into the inlet manifold, supposed to clean everything out - I think i even saw pictures of an engine that had been stripped after it had been run on it for a while and it was clean, I used to run diesels on a neat Forte injector cleaner when the emision testing first came in, you'de be amazed how much that shifted in the time it took to run through a can. I suppose running methanol through it is the same as what terraclean says , its pure fuel , don't know if it has water but heard of that being added and the results of head gasket faliures and spotless chambers as a result.

The owners of many a local BMW rate it very highly indeed, noting as much as 30% MPG increases.

thing is not many garages that own the machine are going to not sell it and say its rubbish are they ? they're there to make money and if that helps them squeeze a few quid out of people then they will
think ed china has the machine at his buisness so again yeah its great
i don't really see how a well serviced car thats in decent order should be 30% down on economy ..thats a huge amount

So , Terraclean . I had mine done this morning at Scotlands ash garage ,near Didcot , Oxfordshire [ the shire] . Was i sceptical ? well a little but not much really , i believed in the science behind it . Was i impressed ? YES!!!!!!! For a start its got to be about the friendliest nicest garage i have been to . I was told they had a waiting room and envisioned the usual 2 year old dog eared magazines , ebola ridden broken coffee machine and a grimy sofa .Instead there was a light and airy place , like a nice living room with tv , pc , fridge , water cooler , drinks , tea coffee , daily papers , free pens and note pads , and articles on the garage winning garage of the year , things were looking good . After 10 minutes the friendly owner popped his head in and asked if i would like to see what was happening and talk to the lad doing it . Thumbs up , got ot ask a few questions and have a looky looky . Nice because most places wouldnt bother and wouldnt want you in the way . I returned to the waiting room , only for the owner to re-appear 10 mins later and ask if i was interested in cars and would i like to see his mot testing . Great so he then showed me through a mot , using his fancy German mot testing bay which lets one man do the job and is really efficeint - really interesting and nice that he took the time to do this . Then we had a chat about emmisions and Terraclean , and he said the problem he has is convincing people who have a car that runs fine and gets them to from a-b to buy it , as its really a preventative system , which will become more and more commen with direct injection and some sort of new exhaust filter which will be mandatiry to new cars in 2015 a dpf for a diesel ? , a filter which he has just replaced at the cost of £500-600 on a car .
He also explains it can cause problems on some older cars , commonly diesel mondeos and jags , which dirt maybe keeping a leaking injector seal sealed untill the terraclean shifts it . A very interesting day and i will definately take my car there again. As for my car , it has a much better throttle response , revs much more cleanly and pulls hard higher up the rev range , where as before it would feel strangled .It feels a fair bit quicker and is genrally much more smoother and responsive .
It is nothing like chucking injector cleaner/octane booster / giving it a thrashing . I would recommend it to anyone , i could see it working well on old gti's etc whcih have never been apart yet etc . Sorry for the long waffle but I'm very impressed .

Ive looked at a lot of other forums discussing Terraclean and i havnt seen a bad report from anyone who has had it done .Most people seem to have had more mpg , smoother running and less emissions . Mine is much quieter now , i hadnt realised how noisy it was before !

It was £106 for a focus . It seems from talking to the garage owner and what ive ssen from other forums that it works well with diesels , cleaning injectors valves , chambers , egr's , lambdas etc , and the diesel particle filter on the newer cars . It only took about 40 minutes . If you google terraclean reviews you get lots of links to all manner of different forums , and there doesnt seem to be anyone who is not happy with it . It woould be interesting to see what someone elses oppion is after they get it done .
