Here for sale I have my old 1989 ford escort rs turbo series 2 in mercury grey, got it off me mate who has owned it since 2007, since his ownership he had locked away in his garage, then in 2011 he put it on road for couple of months they decided to store it again, early this year he passed it on to me as he no longer has his storage space, he needed it gone asap so I took it but now I’m short on space,
The rs turbo is totally original, it’s never seen a dump valve or induction kit or any other mod, engine is running standard, I couldn’t wait to get him hands on it,

Very clean n tidy, all trims are intact. Recaro fronts seats in very good condition still very firm with plenty cushion for the tight gripping. rear in good condition, no rips, tears nor sagging on all seats, carpet is very clean and in great condition, original door speakers I think, no nasty holes on rear parcel shelf, boot carpet is in ok condition, everything works apart from on board computer which is comes on when it feels like it and the sunroof jamming due not being open for a long time bit banging and winding n unwinding will get it going
Exterior
All original panels. Front wings still have factory weld seam, the battery tray has been repaired so no issues there, the bonnet colour is slightly off, few scratches along passenger side done my pal’s kids when car was parked in his garden, little rascals. around sunroof has been repaired in the past but body filler has cracked in places poor repair I guess, no leaks, see pic overall the body is still in great condition for age with little to do to make it a minter
Very solid underneath all inner n outer arches are mint, sills are solids too, has had some small welding done on inner sill, boot has had tiny weld done, it’s all undersealed so nice n black looks great, not bad for an old ford,
Front indicator have a few cracks n chips, don’t think they genuine as they don’t fit in smoothly, but still work, bootlid struts bit weak,
Engine n box
Again all standard, nothing bhttp://retrorides.proboards.com/searcheen messed around with, been serviced, turbo boosting well, gearbox in good working order, same with the clutch, also had a second hand alternative fitted,
Wheels n suspensions
All 5 alloys where sent off to be striped n blasted and finished powder coating. So they as good as brand new now plus they got bit of a metallic finish so sparkle great, tyres are plenty of thread on them, could with balancing as u get shake on high speeds, car sitting on lowering springs not sure what brand or drop but car sits spot on, shocks I have no idea if they standard or upgrades, just had recent disc and pads done, rear wheel bearings
Overall very rare in original condition with little to do, I’m sure new keeper wonted be disappointed. Please don’t be put off by the very few bad points I mentioned, I been honest and it’s not brand new its 25 years old, I know what totally mint escorts are worth so I ve priced it reflecting on what’s needs doing, that’s only if you want it mint, the condition that it is in still very good, I still use it n still get comments n heads turning.
