Hey folks I went along to Shelsley Walsh at the weekend to check out the venue whilst it was in operation at one of their own events to see how they run it. Here are some photos :
Top of our show field... it gets steep up here but you can see how many cars they have parked up at this point in the day, and it isn't even a quarter of the field at this point :

That lot from the other side :

We chose venues where spectating is good, we have rejected some quite famous venues because the spectating wasn't good enough (it is why we love hillclimbs so much)... this photo was taken from the other end of the track pretty much (the car has just gone round the first corner)

The AC club had a parade up the hill at lunch time, so a bunch of cars went from the parking to the paddock, this is what we were planning for getting cars from the show field to the paddock at The Gathering.. seems to work a-okay

Talking of lunch time (and Saturday evening if you are lucky enough to be camping) facilities are good!

And a water pipe we had installed at the venue just for us (well,.. for anyone really, but we got it installed)

Finally the exit road along the bottom of the parking, which was something I was also thinking of doing, a one way system of sorts

There are a couple of things we need to work out solutions for, and I'm sure stuff will crop up over the weekend at our first event there,.. but all in all it is a really exciting venue to be at and should work well for us
