Bought this last year as an MOT fail intending to put the engine in my mk2 breadvan.
Seller said a brake pipe needed doing for the mot but it looked a bit of a shed, plus I wasn't too bothered as the engine sounded good.
Got home and had a look over it and found on the surface it was better than my breadvan, though there was a lot of lacquer peel particularly on the roof.
Fell in love with it a bit so decided to repair it.
Discovered it had failed its mot on much more than a brake pipe.
Spent most of the summer welding and sorting out the brakes and suspension.
Not long after I bought it, looks deceptively clean though.
For some reason I also didn't take any pictures of the car as a whole during the work.
Under the arch trims on the passengers side was some pretty severe arch rot.
The passengers side rear quarter under and around the bump strip also had a hole.
Had to repair a large section of the drivers floor.
It looked a bit of a state for the next few months but recently it looks like this
