I sold the Celica to a guy from Sussex, hope you enjoy it Adam,so I brought the Imp back up from my lock up, I decided to have a poke around to see if there was any rot left anywhere,I took the rear window rubber out to clean and paint under there to preserve it and found this...... Luckily I had an old solid one down the lock up,been in there about 20 year's it has,I haven given load's of back window's away to fellow Imper's in the past but at the time it was the right thing to do,with them fetching over £100 on ebay maybe I had better start keeping my bit's but then it's nice to help people out don't you think... I rubbed down any rusty bit's on the floor and coated it in trusty rusteze.... I also glued the headlining to the window edge,I am going to paint the headlining black with vynyl paint because it is stained and will not clean. I seem to have the Imp bug back, hope it last's!

I have an electrical problem with the Imp,I spent most of yesterday trying to sort it,I'm thinking that guy that welded new sills has welded through loom which run's through the sill! I couldn't find the fault so moved on to fitting the heater pipes through the sills, anyone that has taken on this task will know what a poxy job it is,there are loads of great features on the Imp but this is definately not one of them! The wheel arch leather cover you can see is part of my trusty 20+ year old settee, the wife bought a new three piece so my old faithful had to go,I broke it up to take it to the tip but cut some of the leather from it and covered the rear arches, now my old settee is always with me!

There has been a change of plan on the Imp front,I am going to bolt it back together to get it to the Imp National,I will put off some of the jobs I wanted to do and get it up and running with the old interior/seats etc and change them at a later date, saying that having cleaned up the seats they look ok so I may leave them....anyway have a few pics..... Old window put back in as I won't finish the new window in time Engine and box in and running sweetly albeit on standard exhaust I couldn't resist trying the old Dunlops on there, note the snow tyres for winter... Interior is in.... It's getting there now.... Adam hoovering the boot carpet I have a problem with the rack at the moment but hopefully it will be sorted soon and I can take it for its MOT. Thanks for looking guys.

Those Dunlop D1's look ace, have you got spacers on the rear ?.
I may own another Imp someday but have noticed the prices steadily rising lately, noticed a few with fancy engines asking big money.

ROD passed the MOT today, driving fine apart from the clutch picking up right at the top of the peddle, hopefully a good bleed of the system will sort it,I love the Dunlops too Mark but I need new wheel nuts to run them.

Well the Imp is MOT'd and taxed,it's gone up £20 from the last time I tax'd it!! Myself and Adam took it for a good run today after fitting the new 175/60x13's to the front and sorting a few niggles,it ran really well with only 2 problems, firstly the throttle cable stuck on,easily fixed with an adjustment at the carb end,the other problem was a wierd clutch pedal feel which was cured to a certain extent with a good bleed of the system,I think the pressure plate has gone a bit soft with age so I may buy a new clutch kit at the Imp National next weekend. While we were out and about we passed this parked in our local museum.... Then when driving through Newbridge we came across this garage which used to be a Chrysler dealer many years ago,it was great to see the retro's in the showroom Roll on the Imp National next weekend!
