Seems like a good bargin, I bought a later M40 engined 318i for £300 MOT and tax for over 6months, easily over 3000miles and 3 months later both the clutch and engine have gone! It was superb when it was working though and I'd have one again in a heartbeat. But most of that is irrelevant as I think that one is has a classic M10 engine!

go on www.e30.de for an engine swop with a m30 3.5 engine. has been translated into english - easy swop too. easy, but handles like a canal barge on white water rapids. stick a 2.8 m52 in. derestricted they're 215bhp (same as a 3.5 m30) and weigh the same as an m20, far more tuning scope too. more expensive is the trade off 318i m10s are the most reliable bmw evAr! loads of tuning scope if you want it. easily a better car than a 320i IMO. knew a clactonite who used to take his 318 to 8.5krpm engine lasted 5000 miles surprisingly. 16" rear 993 rims on adapters FTW edit to say that I would not swap the m10 out unless it need a replacment, m10's rock tha fat one IMO!
