1985 ford capri mk3 2.8 v6 injection special with limited slip diff

the mileage is 120222

she comes with a stack of history with the car there are over 30 receipts from bob harmon performance limited in Watford they have looked after it for most of its life

on one of the receipts in 1996 @75,989 the car had a new engine fitted at the cost of £1,539 so in theory the car on the new engine hasn't done many miles and it does show its a very quiet engine

also in the receipts its had the gearbox rebuilt and a new fuel tank and pump

there is receipts for allsorts the car has really been looked after with no expense spared

there is 10 old style mot certificates with the car the last time it was on the road was the end of 2005

there is also receipts from other garages and the old style log book with the car

inside-

fitted with the recaro half leather interior it is in good condition but needs a repair to the top of the leather on the drivers side closest to the door

the rear seats are spot on along wit the passenger seat

the drivers bolsters are good

the dash has the usual capri sun cracks

the dash facia has been cut for an aftermarket stereo

the carpets are nice and clean along with the door cards

the sunroof works on both tilt and slide

the heater motor dosnt work and needs a new one

it has rear seatbelts fitted

the parcel shelf is clean along with the boot carpet

the tailgate struts need either regassing or replacing as they don't hold up on there own

all the gauges and lights work as they should

outside-

the car is finished in paris blue over shark grey

in general the car is in good condition all the major points on these are good

the car has had welding underneath but done looks to be done to a good standard

the engine bay is nice and clean

there are a few scratches here and there remember its 29 years old the car has had paint here and there again nothing for the age of the car

its had some bits touched in on the rear arches they look o have had a scrape

there is a couple of scratches on the bulge on the bonnet

and there is a bit around the drivers lock

I'm not selling the car as a showcar please remember this it has been a daily driver before it was taken off the road

all the panels seem to be original to the car

all the lights work as they should

its a nice car in all fairness

engine-

fitted with the 2.6 v6 injection engine

which runs and drives as it should

its had an oil change and sounds very well

its had a new standard exhaust fitted recently

all the brakes are good

as is the suspension

there are no heating issues

and of course being a 2.8 special it has its original limited slip diff which is in good condition with no whines

the gearbox is good and pulls through every gear with no whines or crunches

there are no knocks or bangs whilst driving

in general its a nice special with the bonus of still having its lsd

fitted with 2.8 alloys

now this isn't a show car nor am I selling it as one it has its bits as mentioned but nothing major and looks and drives very well
