WOW! What a find!
Inevitably it gets me in a 'how much to buy it back?' kind of mood, and the car has some real memories attached to it. The reality is though, that now is not the time...but I'm very pleased to see it's still around. Hopefully I'll catch up with it again soon!
Thanks for posting it!

No problem.
The car will be saved. Ive already started tracking down new panels for her this morning as there appears to be a fair amount of filler around the front end. The Centerlines will be removed as two of them are buckled. The back end has been lowered too far and the front is almost as bad. So new springs are being sourced. Colour is likely to remain black however there was talk of her going back to yellow. And the bumpers being stripped and chromed.
The owner is basically very keen to crack on with the car but only with my help, which makes me feel wanted. So will try and post pics as things progress.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I didn't lower the back on that one, as I'd got fed up with changing driveshafts on YLU! The front was probably my fault though...I hope the current owner isn't going to put it back to standard - restoring it to anything but it's most famous period would be sacriledge! ;D ...as you can see I ran the yellow one a bit lower: In fact I had to reverse off of this podium as the slope was shallower on the way up! ;D Wheels from here

back to near standard as it can mate! and the wheels will likely be replaced with 15" empi's that fit better! lol!
Will be unlowered before anything else progresses.

The back end has been lowered too far and the front is almost as bad. What? You are talking nonsense man - a complete contradiction in one sentence. Too low. Pfft.

The back end has been lowered too far and the front is almost as bad. What? You are talking nonsense man - a complete contradiction in one sentence. Too low. Pfft. The rear has no oil feed to the rear bearings! So basically they risk seizing and result = drive shafts failing pretty often! been there done it many times. The front being so low the negative camber forces the tracking arm upwards to far on full lock that wears the whole thing and the steering box. (Both parts being-almost as hard to find as a S110R windscreen) LHD units don't fit! And to fit Steering rack you need a doner estelle and a fair bit of work swapping wishbones etc. Yep it does look cool! however Its logical to preserve it not risk wrecking it to keep it as it is.
