1970 Triumph Herald 13/60

Barn find condition for restoration or spare parts
This car belonged to my girlfriend’s parents. They left the country in 1985 at which point the car was parked up and left in the garage of the house they owned here. Now the house is up for sale so the car has to go too and unfortunately I don’t have the time or space to work on it myself.
The car is intact and as off today it rolls because I’ve spent time freeing off the brakes as the car was left with the handbrake on, tyres are also holding air. Over the years people have tinkered with it so some engine components are on the back seat, namely the cam cover, air box and radiator. Also one door lock and the left rear brake drum are on the back seat.
Someone has tried to remove the spark plugs at some stage too but one has snapped in the process! With this fixed and some fresh fluids though hopefully she might turn over once again. The car did have a valid MOT when it was put in there!
There is quite a bit of surface rust on the body and I suspect some slightly worse rust underneath although I couldn’t get a proper look. The boot floor doesn’t appear too rusted though which is good.
Inside is in really good condition if a little musty smelling, it has a lovely period Motorola radio and the clocks show 52,329 miles. In the glove box I found the V5 and some other paperwork
I’d love to see this car go to someone who’ll have a use for it rather than sending it to the scrap yard, which just doesn’t seem right.
I’ll ask for £500 because of the parts on it but am more than open to offers, you’ll need a trailer to come and take it away obviously but I am more than happy to help you shift it out the garage.
