onwards and upwards.
I feel the same pangs when I drive past our first house. its smaller than the new one, but something tugs at me every time I drive by. maybe because we raised the kids there and everything was brand new.
ahhh well...

Hey Clement, Sorry to hear about the Maserati but at least you got to have a lot of fun in it. As you are moving to Ireland in April how about a LHD Sierra Sapphire 2.0 Twin Cam? I've a Swiss registered one in Ireland for the past 6 months that I was using as a daily while I was there. Fresh MFK in June 2017 and I've done 7,000 kms in it since. I'm back in CH now so the Sierra has to go. If you are interested let me know.

.... BTW I'm still looking at getting a BiTurbo. I made offers on 3 Ghibli's at this point but none have come through.
I have found a nice BiTurbo now so we'll see ;-)

Oh man. This is bad news. That sucks big time. I know its not your car anymore but its still 'your' car after all that work. Gutting. Same thing happened with the mint little Chevette we had put the rotary in. Sold it to a fella in Ireland and a few days later his brother spun it off into the hedges writing it off. Luckily he has reshelled the running gear into another Chevette. But that was our car, with lots of care and attention into making sure it would last.
Oh well...curse word happens. I still look forward to following your other car projects as they come about and I do hope you'll get another Mazza.

Alas the Irish plans are not to happen, basically met a woman and you figure out the rest. She did let me wander on a bike around Italy for three months but the entire life change might have to wait until she comes along A Ghibli is nice, really nice. I drove a well-sorted example once, and although it should be the same car as a Biturbo it's a spaceship in comparison. But the dinky charm of the latter is really appealing in my eyes! Ah Alex that mustve felt awful. Some people really should realise how much time it takes to approach the limits of a car somewhat safely.

Ahhhh yes. I was following your lovely bike trip on FB. Looked good. At least bicyces wont really let you down (which is why they remain my first and main passion! )
Yep- slap a fast engine in an old car then hand the keys to someone who is only used to driving safer better handling moderns and you'll often end up with a few scary moments at the very least....
"ewwwwwww.... its steering is all yucky and the brakes don't work very well..how is one meant to drive such a thing!!!?"

Sorry to read about this Clement, I was wondering what had become of your car. It must sting a bit. At least you still have the Alfa I need to update my thread at some point. I almost got the engine running for the first time today... Until one thing led to another and I discovered the head gaskets need to be replaced!
