putting the feelers out about selling up my cabriolet. She is a 1990 H plate, just come out of winter dry storage so will have a fresh 12 months MOT and 6 months tax.
The car has an almost complete history with every MOT and tax disc as well as the original bill of sale. before putting her away for winter she had the tracking and balancing done, previous owner put on H&R springs and roll bars and strut brace so she rides a bit firmer as well as an LSD (done about 5k since it was serviced), and an electric cooling fan to get rid of the noisy viscous jobbie.
Ready for the MOT she has had a few bits:
new screen wash pump & fog light switch (died last year),
New Horseshoe gas struts (£128 just for the parts!!!! That hurt!),
Transmission service (new filter, sump gasket and fluid),
Engine service (filters, oil, plugs),
Comes with an Alpine headunit with iPod / iPhone connectivity, alarm / immobiliser, great condition blue fabric roof to match the body colour, original 15" BBS alloys with good tyres and matching spare with locking wheel nuts (and two good keys for the wheel nuts), fairly recently done brakes, full first aid kit and BMW tool kit. previous owner had pressed plates on but gave me the original dealer plates that I prefer so they are back on. Also have all the chrome work replaced (one corner had corroded when I got the car) so the bumpers are nice and solid.
Been underneath and she is in 'used' condition so not spotless underneath as some garage queens are but everything looks ok. bit of an oil leak which I suspect is a rocket gasket (will try to fix that before sold), and transmission fluid leak (hence service to replace the gasket).
All in all a nice car. Selling to make space to start one of the many projects sitting with covers over! Looking for £5k or sensible offers. Sorry - no part ex (unless its a Gul Yellow Volvo T5-R...!)... I have enough projects!
