Classic Mini City, with 4 previous owners and 47,000 miles.
Owned by me for 4 years, the car has been used almost daily but is now starting to show signs of its age. I have retained all receipts in my ownership and there are some from previous owners, this is patchy though as the previous owner put a lot of his receipts through his company expenses. He kept the car in a heated garage, had actually washed the car in duck oil to prevent rust in the seams etc and on buying the car from him it had covered just 18,000 miles.
I have made some light modifications in my ownership including Cooper S disc brakes, original Ripspeed adjust-a-rides/hi-los, Koni red dampers, Maniflow Cooper free flow manifold and Mini spares RC40 millennium stainless exhaust system. The car sits on 10" Mini Special/Exacton alloy wheels fitted with Falken tyres with very good tread.
The original parts (steel wheels, brakes, inlet/exhaust manifold, carburetor etc that I removed are available if required.
The mini has valid tax and test till august, so it is ready to use. However, it does now need some tlc to it's bodywork. Both door bottoms, a panels and a small area on one door step will need welding, the passenger door is the worst and will need a re-skin or lower skin repair. There's a;so some paintwork bubbling in the headlight seams, under the drivers side rear light, on the lower boot lid and behind the front bumper.
The shell on the whole is solid, both rear arches, boot floor, subframe, scuttle panel, front end, floors etc are solid. The only signs of welding I can see is on the sills, which has been performed to MOT standards prior to my ownership and could be redone more sympathetically.
This would be a very rewarding project car, it is mechanically sound and is the most solid and original unrestored Mini I have ever owned (had 10+).
Sadly selling as I've got too many projects at the moment.
Viewing is highly recommended so you can see how original the car is and also the work required.
I'm looking for £2300, and I'm in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. No offers of swaps please, I've got too many projects hence reluctant sale.
Please get in touch via pm or on 0779617 two nine eight five.
Cheers, Gav
