I'm currently fitting a v6 engine into my Astra and doing away with the a/c and p/s so need a much shorter aux belt. Any one got a link to an online catalogue of belts that list the dimensions? Used to pop to halfords this this kinda thing but they don't stock belts anymore and seems my google fu is weak. Thanks in advance guys.

Hi, I also thought this would be a good thing to have so I put a couple of manufacturers names in. Tried Gates not much luck, I then tried Dayco and managed to download a catalogue from their webpage. You could do the same but it turns out their poly V numbering system is simple so it is not needed. It's similar to V belts. An Astra 1.6 for example is 5x1210 which decodes as 5 ribs wide x 1210mm circumference. So decide how many ribs wide, then run a tape rule round the pulleys you want to route it and see what the measurement is then go to your friendly motor factors and if they don't do Dayco belts they can cross reference it. Good luck.
