1993 (L) C900i 3dr US Spec (LHD) 2.1 16v (140 bhp).
175km on the clock (approx 108,000 miles).
MoT until Feb 2015 (no advisories).
Taxed until the end of May 2014.
I purchased this car from its one previous owner just over 3 weeks ago. I was dropping my C900i Vert to its new owner in Edinburgh and had noticed this one for sale just outside Edinburgh, so I made an offer on it and drove back instead of getting the train home.
I've been using it over the past few weeks for clearing the garden and disposing of some other junk at the local tip. Much more fun and probably cheaper than hiring a skip (dependent on what it sells for).
With the rear seats folded down it has small van sized load space in the back, in fact I was tempted to remove the rear seats and board it out just for load carrying. But I have just purchased another C900, so this one now needs to go.
It drives exceptionally well, it handled the 300+ miles drive from Edinburgh with no issues and I've covered a further 400+ miles since, again with no issues.
The extra few bhp over the standard 2litre is noticeable.
The interior is in exceptional condition, seats and carpets are clean with no rips, holes or nasty stains, door cards are very good and the headlining is in very good condition (clean and not sagging).
Its got A/C (not working), ABS (working fine), electric windows & mirrors (mirrors are heated) which are all working. Drivers heated seat works as well.
The car spent 10 years or so in Norway and has an engine pre heater fitted.
Being a US spec car it has a drivers airbag and a gear shift indicator light on the dash.
Complete with all the handbooks along with a considerable amount of service history (quite a bit of this is from the time it spent in Norway), including the original purchase invoice and all export/import paperwork for the time it spent in Norway.
I do have the full V5 and it is registered to me.
Further plus points are the headlamps have nearly new reflectors and the tyres have plenty of tread (matched Michelins all round).
It has kph only speedo fitted, but the original mph/kph speedo with just 204 miles showing comes with the car.
Now the reason for it being so cheap, the bodywork is somewhat cosmetically challenged. Its all solid but there are quite a few surface rust spots and the nearside wing is pretty rusty but again solid (no holes). The paint throughout is quite badly oxidised.
On the plus side the bonnet is pretty good (though again badly oxidised) and the door bottoms are solid.
So there we have it, mechanically excellent, interior excellent, exterior scruffy.
Located in Nettleham just outside Lincoln.
I paid £450 for the car 3 weeks ago so that's the price I'm starting it at.
£450 ono
Roof bars are included in the sale.
