'Main' beam and 'full beam are the same thing. You need to find appropriate headlights in the correct size, That take H4 bulbs. Shouldn't be hard, they are readily available.

Bulbs only require a power and a negative. The negative goes to the body of the bulb and the power goes to the terminal. On the H4 bulbs you have two power terminals and one negative terminal. One power wire is your full beam, the other power wire is your dipped beam. You could do the conversion without a volt meter as you just have to remember which wires were originally connected to what. You could also by trial and error although that's not usually the best approach with electrics.

If you are converting to a single lamp then the H4 bulb will have 3 terminals on it. One is earth, two are power. One of the power wires will be for dipped beam, the other for full beam.
