Well, I guess this brings us up to today. After my son was born my priorities changed a bit and I kinda neglected the car. It already had some battle scars but combined with my "good" neighbors and some vandals led to it looking very sorry for itself. As you might guess sitting outside did wonders to the suspension. There is a CV joint boot that is half missing and all the bushes need replacing. Plus the exhaust is now hitting the propshaft somewhere. Plus some sort of worm made the engine bay its home. Plus the shocks needed replacing. Plus the brakes needed replacing too. Plus the TAX and the MOT (at least the bulgarian versions) expired. Plus... I decided that I have invested to much in this car to let it deteriorate before my eyes, so made a decision to place it somewhere dry and covered, when I can work on it no matter what. I'm still searching for a suitable place for it but will find something till the end of this month. Plans for resurrection are: Polibushed front and rear suspension and subframes Coilovers of some sort 4pot brembos in the front The standard front brakes moved to the rear Hydro handbrake Relocating the battery to the boot. Repairing bodywork General cleaning and tidying up I need this done till September 13th. when the gathering of all the italian makes will take place. Wish me luck.

Well, I didn't find the garage as I was hoping but my old man offered his place to store the car for a month or two. So having where to work i started taking things off The coolant and hydraulic fluid tanks were pretty dirty so I took them off and put them in the dishwasher. And yes my SO was ok with it - SUCH WIN!!! Then removed the battery tray and put an old 12V box ( I honestly don't know how this thing is called) i had laying around. Then reconnected the cables and put the battery to check if everything was ok. Well nothing burned so I guess its fine. The clean hydraulic fluid tank can be seen in the pictures. Unfortunately I wasn't lucky with the coolant one, it didn't clean inside. I was told pipe cleaner and some sand should do the work... I think it turned out nice and clean. This is not the final battery position. I just threw it there for the test. Still wondering if I should put the original battery tray there or go the 2 flower pots way. Any comments welcome. Cheers

So, I gave up cleaning further the coolant tank after trying washing it with almost all the stuff from the periodic table. If I find an all clear one I'll change it in the future. Cleaned the bay a bit just because I couldn't stand watching all the dirt and grime anymore. Even painted the last bit of induction tube in blue for extra style points and maximum increase of horsepower and torque. Bought 2 silicon hoses (blue of course) I was missing and plans are this weekend to finish the new induction tubing and see if the engine wil start after all that poking aroud it. Bought also new battery. I was told it is for a Civic but honestly don't care since it is half the size of the original for the integrale. Bought also 2 big pieces of ally with Alfa Romeo and Brembo stickers on'em. No idea how to proceed with the instalation since the only 17 inch wheels I have need at least 12mm spacers to clear them. Gauge cluster version 3.0 is almost ready, just final wet sanding and paint. Bought also oil pressure gauge and sender unit from the great USSR mastrepiece Lada 1600S. Yep they are Veglia Borletti copies but cost only fraction of its italian analog. Will make new photos when mounted and report back.

So didn't make it to the Italian gathering with the car but whatever. Since I wasn't driving I had "couple" of beers and was happy anyways Progress was still made with the car. Finished the intake pipes. Glad that finished the insulating tape before making everything blue. Think I have unhealthy addiction to blue. Thank god the Chinese also like it and make the silicon hoses only this color. Painted the gauge cluster and fitted it back. Not perfect but much better than before. Also managed to install battery tray from a Civic in the boot. Not without some cutting and grinding but at least now i won't fear that the battery will punch me in the head at hard braking. Installed battery cut-off switch just to make sure the battery doesn't get dead form the traditional sitting in front of my house. The terminals in the picture are some very curse word ones that had just laying around. Already find good ones and will replace them asap. I know it looks kinda ugly now but plans are to be covered with the same material like the rest of the boot. Will probably need to replace the + cable with a bigger one since it charges only 13,2V Also cannot use 15" wheels anymore, good that I have only 3 sets . The current 16' just fit. Need to roll my arches a bit because the tires are rubbing. Still looking for coilovers... Cheers, Sabi

Yep, boaty suspension really sucks. Just couldn't get over the fact that decent coilovers start at 1200£+ shipping

S#!T Cleaned for 2 hours in the cold outside because of a 0.25£ O-ring... Well oil change was due anyhow To top it all up the wastegate actuator rod snapped and now I have N/A fun, yeeeehaaw! Not all bad though. The Chinese Santa came early and brought me this And from this Through this To this Now I wont be signaling and turning the wipers on every time i move the steering wheel. Need to decide If i want to keep the Chinese horn button and glue it or find an original one... I prefer the original ones but 100 quid is a bit steep for a piece of plastic. Everything that says Integrale in the listing comes with a ridiculous price tag these days.

Here we go again. The old smokey turbo went off the car to make room for a bigger one - T3 60trim. Should be good for 340hp at the crank. We'll see about that... Took the time to wrap the exhaust header properly this time. The old cloth looked like a traveller rug and disintegrated when touched. After 4 hours of dirty and scratchy hands - result! (please don't mind the finger ) Eliminated the rust from the turbo and radiator supports: I need to deal with a couple of studs on the exhaust snapped during disassembly and hope to start putting it together this weekend. Cheers!

Thanks for the link This chap invests a lot more than I can ever afford in his car. If I find the money I have pretty clear "investment" plan also, believe me
