Spotted this mystery era Celica in Sale today, sat with a scabby 911 SC with a whaletail. What model is it? It's not a TA21, not curvy enough. I don't know much about it (I thought it was a deTomaso Longchamp or a Maser of some esoteric variety ) other than it's been there for ages and I don't know if it's for sale. I will also post up some pics of the C210 Skyline that's been in my mate's field for years. I thought it was a Sapporo (dumbass that I am).

Yup, TA or RA40... they've grown on me a lot. Kind of a forgotten Celica I reckon.

don't think we got that shape Supra, and I think they were all Liftbacks anyway. Could be wrong though. Whichever it is it doesnt want leaving to rot like that.

Should I ask whether it's for sale?
The C210 is an absolute basket case by the way, it's an auto if i remember rightly, but it'll be cool to photograph.

Yeah, I would, then you could put the price up in the For Sale section, it might just be what someone is after, don't think we have any of those on board at the minute.

Yep it's a TA40, as others have said.
The rear lights are early ones (pre 1980) so it's probably a round headlight version. The early lights do fit on the later version though.
Something didn't look quite right to me, and then I spotted that the key hole for the boot lock has be removed/smoothed, along with the badges.
Nice spot though!

skyline = pics pics pics pics Ditto! Might yield one or two bits, or would otherwise just be good to see. I like the 2dr version of that generation Celica much more than the 3dr. Only came to UK with a 1600 engine, though I suppose in Japan you could get 2-litres, twin-cams and all the rest. I briefly had ownership of one years ago, rusty as anything, from which I liberated a set of slotmags.
