FOR SALE - 1980 AUSTIN ALLEGRO 1.3L (A friend of mine is selling)
We bought this Allegro from the original owner who purchased it new back in 1980. The Allegro was bought and kept in the same area and only covered a small amount of miles every week. In fact the car has only covered 37000 miles from new!
Unfortunately the original owner became to old to continue to drive, so the Allegro was parked in the garage back in 2004 and that's where it remained until we brought it in December last year!
The original owner always kept the Allegro in his garage overnight so as you can imagine the car is in very good and condition. There are a couple of small dents as well as some minor rusted areas that I can post some photos of if required.
The Allegro is in complete original condition and even still has the original LW/MW Radio and original tool kit in the boot.
We have given the Allegro a full service with the following new parts:
Air Filter.
Oil Filter.
Oil Change.
Spark Plugs.
HT Leads.
Condenser.
Points.
We've fitted a new battery, new fuel cap, serviced the carburetor and replaced both headlamp bulbs.
We've also added new fluid and re-pressurized the hydro-elastic suspension system to the correct original factory height.
The Allegro now runs and drives fantastic and is sold with 12 months MOT.
This Allegro would make an ideal light maintenance classic for some enthusiast that doesn't have the time or space for a complete restoration project.
