In my search for some cheap 15" (bbs rs/ronal ls style) rims I have come across several sets of these bad boys from a saab 900/9000's! They seem to knock around the £100 pound mark with semi-decent tyres. I know they are 4x108 pcd, but....... Does anyone know if the offset and bore is similar to ford?

Try it and find out! You'll either be a pioneering trailblazer, setting an example on lateral thinking.... ... or you'll be selling some saab rims on ebay.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Quite like the idea of being a trailblazer but I am sure that someone else where has tried this before. Thanks reanimation for the info and links! ;D

The stud pattern is different as far as I know. Saab 4 stud is the same as the nissan bluebird and maestro montego e.t.c

Stud pattern is 4 X 108 tim - same as PSA Group.
I know this because a 9000 Aero spare fits straight on a 405 Mi 16.
Not sure about the offset \ hub flange on a Sierra though.......

Lankytim, you're right with older stuff up to mid-80's - one or two Datsun people have had Saab alloys on various models of Cherry for that reason. I knew it changed, didn't realise it was to 4x108 though.
Do Sierras really run more offset than a FWD car?

IIRC Ford Sierras are ET 40? So only 13mm different. Will probably tramline like a biatch but if they arent that wide then I fail to see arch issues. But theres only one surefire way to find out.....

some saab alloys are ET40 too, it's quite comon in the states to fit saab rims to the focus, murkur xr4's etc....
the confusion starts as the early 99/900 (pre 88) is 4x114.5 PCD which is the same as Toyota, MG etc...
Early rims are easily identified as they lack the 5th hole for the locator stud. (newer rims are bolts, early ones use nuts.)
