Time has come to sell my RangeRover Classic Vogue SE. I have had it for a few years now but times change and we move on. Unfortunately I have not been getting any use out of this old girl so I need to let her go.
The Good Bits:
3.9 V8 Automatic with full working and certified LPG system. The tank is in the boot so no issues about catching it when offroading.
2" Pro Comp lift kit - very good off road
Engine has had new cam, timing chain and pullies, waterpump.( within the last 200 miles) Headgaskets have been changed and uprated.
Auto box is perfect in all gears including Hi and Low box no slugish gear changes here
I have been informed that this Range has the 24 spline axles which are the stronger of the 2 types available.
Magnicor HT leads
Chassis is in very good order - only a repair to the crossbeam has been done previously.
Leather interior ideal if you playing in the mud.
Passed the last mot (summer of 2012) with no advisories
The not so good bits:
She is alittle Lot battle scared from my adventures fortunately the body is ally and doent rust :-)
There is a hole in the scuttle pannel where the snorkle used to be
The head lining is sagging - shocker
The elecric seats and wing mirrors have been disconnected ( I didnt want them shorting in water)
The drivers door key lock has popped off the linkage and needs re connecting.
Due to it standing the brake warning light is on and the brakes are rubbish - you cant drive it away.
I think there may be a little play in the front off side wheel bearing.
Some rust to the steel sections - small welding may be required although I don't think they are an MOT fail as its a chassis vehicle.
This is an ideal project for someone wanting to do some really cheep off roading or wants it for spairs and repairs. The vehicle is worth a good wedge in parts alone and I don't really want to break it, id rarther see it go and someone else have as much fun as I have in it.
Priced nice and cheep to sell. Please note the Range must be trailered away as it has no T&T and the brakes need attention. Ideally collected over Easter.
