hi there, as you can tell, ive joined to sell my car, but seeing as my other cars will suit this rather well, i rekon il hang around:P
I'm putting my rallye up for sale.
good bits:
the car is an N reg S1 1.3 rallye with 132000 miles, an engine rebuild at 110000 miles engine has been modified with a
kent sports cam,
4 -1 steel manifold,
stainless decat pugsport 1.75 inch exhaust
the obligatory KnN air filter.
new radiator (within 15000 miles)
red silicone hoses
makes around 130hp, really pulls from 4.5krpm and to be honest is not bad on fuel at all. oils consistantly clean and i have replaced all filters on the car. it has fresh engine oil, gearbox oil, bottom gearbox/engine mount *(group N solid rubber mount) and a group N top engine mount. the box is original rallye gearbox thats on the shortshift linkage selector that is standard on all rallye s1 gearboxes (not many people now about it) its had new bottom arm rubber mounts and brakes are in good condition with life left in them
no loose worn parts, everything is solid and ready for a spirited drive its super clean underneath, everything neat and i regularly clean all mud from the arches to keep it clean. we run a garage so viewing with the car on a ramp is available
bodyworks original, a previous owner has fitted some nasty bonnet pins unfortunatly, but a set of silver ones and i don't think it will look too bad.
interior is good, all original, carpets could do with removing and steam cleaning to revive the deep red but i think its real good its been fitted with a deep dish OMP wheel thats real nice aswell, the suade has fattened down a bit but it can be restored easily
tyres are in good condition, new proxies so no issues there
car had its MOT done today, sailed through, emissions good, only advisorys are that the front to rear brake pipes have surface rust on them. i think our MOT guy didnt want to give the boss's son a clean mot sheet
tax runs out the end of this month but i will probably sort this before the end of the month unless you don't want me to!
the car comes with a spares package, has a new fuel filter, track rod ends, white wing mirrors, a FULL SET of rallye stickers, spare wheel (obviously) and a few other small parts ive forgotten about
this has a HUGE selection of recipts and service history with it, dealership maintenance, recipts for the cam, engine rebuild, new alternator, radiator, brake parts, gear linkage.. list goes on! has a spare key
This was MOTed a few weeks ago with 1 advisory and i have just put 6 months tax on it, so its right ready to go!!
Bad bits:
LH quarter panel has been hit, its not bad at all, dent at the top and the paints cracked just under the sticker, from a bodywork point of view we reckon pressing it out with your hand from the inside and a skim of filler would sort it. this can be rectified at separate cost.
due to the cam its lumpy on idle when cold, bud i wouldnt say this is bad, as it sounds lovely some speakers in the doors that are not standard, but if you have a phillips screwdriver, you can get them out in a few seconds! i find the induction noise and exhaust buzz is much more pleasurable to listen to anyway
a sunroof model aswell, makes it a rarer verison as there are only a few with sunroofs!
this car is one for the collector i think, a few pounds spent restoring it back to glory, and you have a VERY nice rallye!
