Went to Leeds today to collect some bits, about 100 miles each way, so a nice run out
Not many spots, despite being a sunny saturday most stuff was modern (and surprised at being passed by a 35 year old tina
Did see this though, at a little garage off the A61, so we stopped for a quick peek and a rest.
the garage was pure retro, wish I'd had more time to look about.
how many people have a plane at the back of the workshop??
Decided to stop and visit my folks on the way back, fuel running low, didn't see a single petrol station between dishforth and nunthorpe (A172), so predictably, ran out about half a mile short of my parents house Good job its downhill then ;D
Dad says there's a can in the garage, take my car and go fill it. Went and got can, It's full already
Best they can remember, that gallon was bought in 1994 when they thought their 740 estate wouldn't start, then forgotton about cos the car fixed itself, so I got retro fuel! (prob. only cost them £3 as well) When's the last time you saw a RED can?
On the A19 flyover I passed this really nice '94 Lancia Delta Integrale, LHD, minter, great laugh as he chased me through the traffic to the winyard turn then vanished in a cloud of turbo smoke ;D ;D ;D
Sorry about the poor pic though, its the best the youngun could manage at 100mph (i mean 70.... )
And here's the reason for the whole trip, two sills and rear arches for a MK1 Capri, NOS, for the suitably 70's price of £32.50. don't you love Ebay?
