I finally finished my garage in the garden today! Great size really, 20 feet x 10 feet, which is more than enough for an Imp project, hell I could almost fit two Imps side by side! So the Imp's going in there in the morning, followed by all the motor related curse word and tools I have at a rented lockup a while away, and after that I'm locking myself in the garage and having some fun! ;D ;D I might not be posting on here for a while as a result! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I'll get some photos of it soon, if anyone is sad enough to care! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sounds great Rev. It does make so much difference being undercover when working on cars. No rain dripping down the back of your neck.

My garage is a reasonable size, but just full of curse word. Boxes and boxes of it. At one point I had my Skoda Rapid in there in pieces, now I'd be lucky to fit a bloody skateboard in! I do have the V8 in the corner though - some of the worthless curse word can brave the elements instead! ;D

When it's all kitted out mine will have electricity, (since I have a petrol generator but it wouldn't power a mobile phone let alone an ARC welder! ) so I might put a telly and a little mobile radiator in it, it's not totally finished really since I plan on making it into the workshop I've always wanted (fed up of council lockups) complete with everything I need to work on motors properly instead of bodging and doing everything with rubbish tools, plus I now have an en-suite house for a supply of hot tea on cold days! But the point is that I now have somewhere at the house to keep my Imp in and work on it. It's not such a big garage, but A) It's bigger than anything I've ever had access to, and B) you have to remember that my cars aren't that big either! ;D ;D ;D

You're a lucky git to have a new "annexe". I had to give up the garage when we moved. It was a real pisser fro me.... We were living in a v. small two bedroom house which had a decent sized garage. But the rent was so much / my pay so low I couldn't afford anything nice to go in there. So then we move to a proper-sized house of our own and my pay took a jump up, so along came the BMW. But no garage to put it in. The worst part of it all is one of our neighbours has a bloody huge double garage ( I can see it every time I look out of the bedroom window) that they just keep a few bits of old junk in while their cars live outside!

;D There's that saying: people keep cars worth thousands out in the cold, and a lawnmower worth twenty quid in the garage! It's nuts really! Working outside in winter on cars is no fun at all a lot of the time - especially if you're on your back! Rev: I'm dead jealous! I have to share my garage with other peoples junk . Post some pics! ;D
