2.3 turbo Automatic 5 months tax 10 months mot 126,400 miles Engine rebuilt 8 years ago (no receipt for this) Head gasket and timing chain gear done 3 years ago (no receipt for this) Aggressive stage 1 remap by Saabflight Service history Turbo rebuilt 4 years ago at Turbotechnics (t25) Fresh service and front brake pads Remapped Newish radiator and Maptun coolant hoses Stainless steel exhaust Black leather interior Electric windows and mirrors Clifford cat 1 alarm with 2 fobs and keys Drives great, pulls like a train and doesn't use any oil or water. Is fantastic at motorway speeds, picks up so well. Can return 40mpg on a long run if you take it easy and stay off boost! Qualifies for classic car insurance. I'm 26 and pay £250 a year fully comp. ABS light is on so ABS currently inoperative. Haven't had a look into it yet as it doesn't bother me. Any questions please ask.

Is it the hatchback or saloon? And pics please! CSE will be the hatchback.... would be handy to know if this originally a 2.3t vs 2.3T, low pressure turbo compared to full pressure

Will get some photos this morning. Was originally a LPT and is still runing the T25(Rebuilt 4 years ago by Turbotechnics but no receipt for this). Is a 1998 car and is a hatchback. I one of the last made, has a glove box and a numerical fuel gauge which is very very rare for a late model.

LPT is good, least the gearbox will have been spared the sheer grunt of a FPT for a few years Good luck with sale

. I one of the last made, has a glove box and a numerical fuel gauge which is very very rare for a late model. I'm curious - how does that work? I thought all those built after '95 had a passenger airbag and as a result no glovebox?

Tis true, but some other owners have taken the airbag out and put in a glovebox, may have happened here?
Not entirely sure what a numerical fuel gauge is either, but pics will explain all I guess

Still haven't got round to getting photos! It's a factory fitted glovebox with fuse box in correct place etc, was a end of the run car and apparently a few were like this, almost like parts bin cars! The fuel gauge goes up in numbers 10,20,30 etc rather than just lines

Shame about the abs light as I know from recent experience that the MOT station I use would fail it for that and it's a bit of an unknown quantity as far as fixing it goes. Otherwise I'd be tempted. GLWS.

ABS light on these is nearly always dirty sensors, usually the rear ones, 10 minute job to remove and clean, sure it's not a guarantee but i must have sorted 15-20 of them over the years like this, never had to replace anything major...
Great cars these...

Thanks 10mpg, interesting. Would this be similar to an ABS ring getting covered in crud?
Having had a quick Google about this I see that the sensors failing is quite common and easy to deal with. Trouble is the sensors seem to be going for anything between £30 and £80 each!
With that in mind, Would you be open to offers OP? Also, how long have you owned the car & what history has it got?
Would be interested to come and have a look soon as I need to get something for Mrs scoob to commute in and I know these are safe and comfy and generally pretty tough.

It's a common failure point. ABS sensors can be had 2nd hand for around £20/£25 if you look on forums and for private sellers on ebay. As this is a later car it'll have the later sensors with square plug which are much more common than earlier ones with round plug. I have offside front and rear I'm trying to sell. I have a MY1994 that takes the earlier sensors.
Looks a tidy car and unusual colour.

Car now reduced to £750! Have had the car a couple or months but is the 4th 9000 I've had. Only selling as I don't need a car for commuting anymore so getting something a bit more classic for the weekends. Car has a fair bit of history, old mots, invoices etc etc, mainly for servicing and odds and sods. The guy I got it from had it 8 years and didn't keep many of his receipts and he never planned to sell it!
