Hey all! This is my 1988 C1 Colt! Bought with 18,000 miles on it in 2011, currently on 26,000. I'm the second owner from new and was garaged it's whole life so the rust is minimal. Hope you like it!

Looks familiar. Like the wheels. I have the saloon lancer version of this. Mines done about 30k from new, getting very rare now . Although did see a red one driving round Leeds 2 weeks ago.

Giving the bumpers some fresh silver, at least up to the crimp, would make it even hotter to look at. And a sporty exhaust...

I like this! Any plans besides enjoying it? Yeah the wheels have been written off from a very nasty hit with a pothole so looking for another set of wheels that fit (Lotus Eclat/Elite Turbine wheels ideally). Other than that, just for me to enjoy. It's basically an interesting take on cheap motoring for me. Flown through every MOT without a hitch, only had a couple of things replaced since the car was built so yeah running well and I guess I'm not fixing anything that isn't broken (which would be the wheels and sadly a suspension arm!) Giving the bumpers some fresh silver, at least up to the crimp, would make it even hotter to look at. And a sporty exhaust... The top part of the bumpers are chrome. I'm definitely not one for colour coding bumpers so apart from keeping the chrome shiny I won't touch a thing! You can see the bumper better in this photo Oh and here's one today as she was waiting to go in for an engineers report! Not only did I get this lovely ding in the wheels but it actually pushed the suspension arm back too warping all the bushes.

Looking a bit sorry for herself on a temp set of Volvo wheels. I'm shocked at how bad it's made the car look? It also handles even more like a boat now with these tires lol

Lovely car that, nice to see another MCM fan too. TBH the wheel looks very repairable, I've had worse straightened before.

Thanks! Yeah I do love MCM.
I think even if they were repairable I'll use this as an excuse to just get a different set of wheels for a bit of a change.
My only issue is if they are even resellable as the work done on the centers to make them fit (wheels were 60.1, car is 67.1) isn't totally professional.
