Mostly copied and pasted from my ebay ad:-
So, after a winter driving this car I'm putting it up for sale so I can start driving my old VW (They don't like winter)
I bought this car in October as a standard 323i. Since then I've done the following:-
New rear wheels bearings - OEM Quality SKF Items
TA Technix Coilovers - Brand New in December, two year warranty
New OEM Quality Front top Mount Bearings
Shortened Hyundai Coupe Front ARB Drop Links
New Rear Shock Top Mounts (RSM) again OEM Quality (SKF)
Rebuilt Front Brake Calipers to Solve the Common E46 Sticking Slide Pins
Carbon BMW Bonnet and Boot Badges, Debadged boot lid
Gold OEM Finish Calipers (Cadmium Plated Effect)
Red Tinted Reversing Boot Lights
Black Shadowline Trim (Previously Chrome)
Nokia Handsfree Bluetooth Car Kit
Rolled Front Arches
Cut and Rolled Rear Arches, Shaved Rear Bumper Mounts
Trimmed Front and Rear Wheel Arch Liners (To stop scrubbing)
Serviced it (Oil+FIlter/Air Filter/Plugs/Coolant/Brake Fluid/Injector Cleaner/Cleaned MAF) But haven't reset the counter
Wheels -
Staggered 'Style 32' 18" Wheels off a E38 7 Series
18x8 ET20 Front - 18x9 ET22 Rear
Recently Refurbished in Matt Grey
Brand New 215/35/18 Tyres Fitted Last Week
Now, this is a 16 year old car, as much as I have given it lots of love over the last six months it's not a 'show car'... But then it doesn't have BBS's and Air ride and I'm also not scene enough to own a show car...
It's a lot quicker than I was expecting (7 seconds to 60 - verified 145mph) and still averages around 30mpg. On a recent 300 mile round trip to Bristol I got 34mpg. Perfectly reasonable, and wit's common knowledge that only boring people buy Diesels.
Sits at three figures speeds all day long, is quiet and has the obvious BMW refinement.
It is low but not silly low and doesn't scrape during my day to day driving or scrub on the arches. It can potentially go lower.
Yes, it's a saloon, but I purposely didn't want a Coupe because the only reason people buy a Coupe then stick an ebay 'M'' badge on the boot is because they can't afford an M3.
Tax runs out at the end of this month March. Can put another six months on if needs be. MOT Until mid October. Only advisory on the last ones was Front Bushes (common problem, easy bolt-on fix).
