For sale is my 1999 Peugeot 306 Rallye in cherry red.
I know it might not be retro (yet), but it certainly is interesting and a bit rare.
Model: Peugeot 306 Rallye 16v
Year: 1999
Mileage: 120,000
Tax: 2 months
MOT: 7 months
Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
Price: £1,950, offers
Contact details: nethercoat@gmail.com or 07908-733-357
One of only 500, the Rallye is the lightened version of the 306 GTi-6. With the same 168bhp 2 litre engine coupled up to a short ratio 6 speed box it's a very fast car, reaching 60 in 6.8 seconds. It handles really well too but still manages to be quiet and comfortable as you'd expect from what was the top of the range 306. Power steering is there but unlike most, it's unobtrusive with plenty of feel. But you probably already knew that if you watched Top Gear in the 90s.
I have owned this car for the past 6 months and the owner before me owned it for the previous 7 years.

Good points:
Bad points:
All in all it's a very honest car and hasn't been tarted up to cover up faults. It's been owned by the same owner for 7 years prior to me and has been well looked after all its life. I'm only selling as now it's spring I will be putting my track car back on the road.
I'm after £1,950 but open to offers and maybe even a swap, something like a Merc W123.

Good points:
- Bodywork is very solid. Have recently treated some surface rust underneath and re-undersealed
- Just serviced (9th March 2014) with new Oil, Oil filter, 4x new NGK plugs, Fuel filter, air filter and thermostat
- Lambda sensor replaced with genuine BOSCH in January 2014, MAP and ICV cleaned at the same time
- 4x good Toyo Proxes tyres
- Mint interior with no rips or damage
- Underneath is very solid, no rust in the usual problem areas like the boot floor or chassis legs
- Alpine CD player (original Blaupunkt tape player and 6 CD changer included)
- Engine starts first turn of the key and runs sweet as a nut- always warmed up before revving hard
- Suspension is quiet with no knocks or bangs and no wobbles
- 4x new discs and all new pads at last MOT (October 2013)
- Towbar with fully working electrics
- Cam Belt last changed at 107,000 miles (13k ago) in 2011
- Regularly serviced and maintained
- MOT until October
Bad points:
- A couple of paint scrapes on the front bumper, usual stone chips to the bonnet and the odd car park ding- it is 15 years old after all
- Central locking unlocks but doesn't lock on the drivers side and has to be locked from the passenger side
- Clutch cable is stiff and can take some getting used to. Last owner had a new clutch at last MOT (October 2013) so is fine and never slips, but it's a common fault with these caused by the clutch cable running near to the exhaust manifold
- Usual stone chips to the bonnet
- Wheels could do with a refurb
