I am working on a kit car, built out of mk1 Escort 1300 bits with a 2 litre Pinto, and the brakes are terrible (tiny discs and calipers, no servo)
I hear the way to upgrade old Escorts was to fit Capri struts and brakes, but what parts exactly do I need? Just the struts, or TCAs as well? Cross member?? Does it all bolt together or does anything need fettling to fit?
I figure normal 2 litre Capri stuff will be adequate, can't see as I would really need 2.8 Billies and vented discs, so what sort of money is stuff like this going for nowadays? Anyone near Grimsby got any for sale?
Or failing that, any other suggestions for making it slightly less of a death trap?
